Bardi's curriculum and some personal notes
At present I am professor of Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Firenze, Italy. I started with this position in 1992, before that I was staff researcher at the Department of Applied Chemistry in the same university. Earlier on, I have been postdoc in various places: Berkeley , Aix-Marseille and New York at Stony Brook My academic degree is a "laurea" in Chemistry at the faculty of Sciences of the University of Firenze (that goes back to 1976). Maybe I could also list here the names of my teachers, the people to whom I owe most of all that (little) I know in science: these are Gianfranco Rovida (my thesis advisor), Franco Jona (my first boss in Stony Brook) Phil Ross and Gabor Somorjai (my time in Berkeley), Marcel Bienfait (in Marseille) and Yoshimasa Nihei (I was a fellow researcher in his group in Tokyo). If you need a formal curriculum of mine, just write me.
What else? I have an interest in art and mythology, see for instance my page about the Chimera . Lots of people tell me that I should do more exercise, and they are probably right. I try to do that as an archer, but perhaps I have spent more time on theorizing on it that practicing it, see for instance my page on Archery .
All that is probably more than you ever wanted to know about me, so I'll stop here without mentioning other (a bit weird) things I am engaged in. Just as a last note: the picture at the top of this page was taken in Hilo, Hawai'i, in 1997. I wear a "lei" and I am completely jet-lagged (normally I don't look so sleepy, at least I hope....).
